The Roscón de Reyes is a traditional cake celebrated on the occasion of Epiphany.

Its origins date back to Roman times, when the Saturnalia were celebrated with round cakes, sweetened and flavored with honey.

The tradition of the Roscón developed in medieval Spain, where Epiphany celebrations were marked with grandeur and joy.

The first written records of the Roscón de Reyes date back to the 18th century, a time when it was already regarded as a festive Christmas specialty.
